Born on a job site.
Our founder spent over a year learning and documenting everything about the commercial window coverings business: rolling up his sleeves to take field measurements, in the office placing orders from those measurements, on the fabrication floor making the products from the order sheet, on install trips performing the installations, and managing a team of installers and client relations. He learned every aspect of the commercial blinds business and meticulously documented every point of friction. Hand-jotted field measurements meant lengthy data entry work later and resulted in too many costly remakes and trips. Recording measurements for each individual window was practically impossible without a dedicated system, and meant ordering was placed without location labels, and also meant laying out product for installation too long. Not having an isntall checklist meant installers had to remember everything, and was impossible to track who did what and when. Disputes would also happen with GCs when product went missing or damaged, and we'd bear the cost of replacement.
Every one of those problems had a real cost: remakes, callbacks, stress, and lost revenue and credibility. It also became clear that this was the same story across the industry.
With a background in software engineering, the fix seemed obvious: build something purpose-built for this trade. Nothing like it existed. After years of development, refinement, and real-world testing with our own team, this new process became our secret weapon. The results were immediate—errors dropped sharply, and so did the overhead. It was clear this wasn't just a solution for one business. Too many in this trade are still running on the same outdated workflows.
